Decanter (94 points) – “Liger-Belair ferments as 50% whole clusters and is ageing the wine in one-half new casks (four barrels out of eight). He has a very light toast on the barrels that lets the bright cherry and blackberry fruit shine through. Tannic and firm, with an earthy note on the finish, this delicious wine is produced from a 0.7ha parcel next to premier cru Les Pruliers at the end of the dejection cone from the combe. This alluvial limestone matter means the solid is deep and rich, producing a classic Nuits profile.”
