Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (92 points) – “This is the newest property acquired by Comte de Neipperg. This is the first vintage in which he controlled the viticulture as well as the vinification, and guess what ... it's exceptional! Possibly a new benchmark for Cotes de Castillon (let's hope the price does not get out of control), its saturated black/purple color is followed by aromas of licorice, incense, blackberries, chocolate, and coffee. Full-bodied, with tremendous layers of fruit and concentration, this offering possesses the mass, richness, and complexity of a serious classified growth. I would opt for drinking it during its first 8-10 years of life. Wow! A sleeper of the vintage.”
