Le Vieux Donjon酒莊位於南隆河的教皇新堡地區，擁有15公頃的葡萄園。1966年，現任莊主Lucien Michel的父親Marcel Michel釀造了酒莊的第一瓶酒，從此奠定家族的釀酒事業。Lucien Michel隨後於1979年與Marie Jose成婚，並接手掌管Vieux Donjon酒莊。如今，家族中的第三代Claire Michel也開始投入釀酒事業。
在Vieux Donjon酒莊佔地15公頃的葡萄園中，僅有其中1公頃是用來栽種白葡萄。而Vieux Donjon酒莊至今仍沿用傳統的釀造法。Vieux Donjon酒莊僅釀造一款紅酒與一款白酒，有限的產量也使得Vieux Donjon的酒款在市場中十分搶手，但莊主卻始終維持合理的售價。
(葡萄種植比例: 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 其餘為Mourvedre和Cinsault, 陳釀18個月(80%在大橡木桶, 20%在水泥缸))
